Shared tracking you can revoke

Share a shipment by a link, and turn that link off whenever you want (revoked links return 410 Gone).

Sharing a shipment

Every shipment already has an anonymous, read-only [Smart Link](/docs/smart-links) you can send to anyone. Shared tracking adds one thing the Smart Link cannot: the ability to turn a link off later.

When you create a share, you get a separate link with its own token:

Send it to a customer, a family member or a teammate. They see the same live timeline — no account needed.

Revoking a share

From your account you can revoke any share you created. The moment you do:

  • the shared link returns 410 Gone with a plain "this link was turned off by its owner",
  • an unknown token returns 404, so a revoked link is clearly distinct from a wrong one,
  • your permanent Smart Link keeps working — revoking a share never affects it.

This is the difference that matters for sharing something temporarily: a parcel you sold, a delivery you covered once, a link you'd rather not leave live forever.

What a share never exposes

A share shows tracking events only. There is no personal data on the page, and the recipient cannot save, edit or re-share anything from it.

For owners

If you run TrackJet, every share is visible in the admin under Products → Shares, where you can revoke any live one. Revocations are written to the audit trail.
