Terms of Service

v2 ·

Effective: 13 May 2026. Version 1.

1. Acceptance #

By using TrackJet (trackjet.world) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These Terms apply to four kinds of user: public visitors (anyone who pastes a number for detection and routing — no account); consumers (private individuals with an account, who keep the mandatory consumer-protection rights of their country, including the statutory right of withdrawal once paid plans are live); business users (companies and sole traders using TrackJet for their operations, API or widget); and enterprise customers (organisations under a separate written agreement). Consumer-specific rights apply only to consumers; the clauses on API keys, webhooks, resale and uptime are directed at business and enterprise users.

2. What TrackJet is #

TrackJet is a multi-vertical shipment-intelligence service. It detects a tracking number's format, routes you to the carrier's official tracking surface, and — where licensed carrier feeds, user-authorised inputs (such as forwarded status emails), or TrackJet-managed observations are available — builds a source-labelled, verifiable timeline. Every event is labelled with its source and TrackJet never fabricates carrier events. TrackJet is not the carrier, is not the official system of record for the shipment, and has no influence over the linked carrier sites.

3. What we do and do not do #

We DO: auto-detect tracking-number formats; route to the correct carrier; build source-labelled timelines where licensed feeds or user-authorised sources are available; publish aggregated logistics statistics; let you save shipments (locally in your browser when signed out, or to your account when signed in).

We DO NOT: act as the carrier or the shipment's official system of record; fabricate carrier events; guarantee redirect accuracy (carriers change URLs); provide carrier customer service; accept liability for shipment delivery.

4. Carrier-information accuracy #

We make best efforts to keep carrier URLs current; URLs may change without notice, carriers may have downtime, and some carriers are "B2B-only" with no public tracking page. If a redirect fails, try the carrier's main website directly.

5. Acceptable use #

You agree NOT to use automated scrapers without written permission, NOT to attempt to overload our servers (soft rate limit: 100 requests/minute per IP), and NOT to use TrackJet to facilitate illegal activities.

6. No warranty #

TrackJet is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability #

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Our liability is limited to direct damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  • Indirect, consequential, incidental damages (lost profits, lost data) are excluded.
  • Aggregate liability cap for the free service: EUR 100.
  • Statutory liability under German ProdHaftG and GDPR Art. 82 is unaffected.

8. Intellectual property #

TrackJet brand, logo, source code: © Trackjet by Hablex.de Tracking data and carrier names belong to the respective carriers. User notes saved via "my TrackJet" remain your property.

9. Termination #

We may suspend or terminate access for users violating these Terms.

10. Governing law #

These Terms are governed by the laws of germany. EU residents retain their statutory rights under EU law.

11. Changes #

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced 30 days in advance via banner on this URL.

12. Accounts, saved data and integrations #

Public tracking needs no account. The features below are optional; where noted they require a free account:

  • Anonymous local tracking: your "my TrackJet" list stays in your browser (localStorage) until you choose to import it — we do not receive it.
  • Account saved shipments: signed in, you may save shipments to your account on our EU servers to enable live tracking and alerts; you may export or delete them at any time.
  • Email alerts: require an account and a verified email; you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Mail-in tracking: you may forward a carrier's status emails to your personal TrackJet address, and are responsible for forwarding only emails for your own shipments.
  • Shared links: read-only links you create to a timeline can be revoked at any time, after which they stop resolving.
  • API keys and webhooks: keys you create are yours to keep secret; you are responsible for activity under your keys and for the security and content of any webhook endpoint you register. Do not register endpoints you do not control.
  • Data retention: account data is kept while your account is active and shipment events only as long as needed to provide tracking — specifics are in our Privacy Policy.
  • Your responsibility: keep your credentials and API keys secure, use the service lawfully, and do not submit tracking numbers or content you are not entitled to.

Paid tiers and the 7-day Pro trial change limits, not these rules. Billing is off during early access; we never charge without your explicit consent. TrackJet remains not the carrier and not the shipment's system of record.

13. Plans, trials and billing #

Public detection and routing are free. Optional paid tiers (Plus, Pro, Business) raise limits and unlock advanced features. During early access, billing is off — no card is collected and nothing is charged. The 7-day Pro trial is real and free; when it ends, your account returns to Free unless you upgrade. Paid features apply only after your explicit consent. We will announce any change to paid terms at least 30 days in advance on this page. When billing goes live, invoices, applicable VAT and any statutory refund/withdrawal rights will be provided.

14. API, MCP, webhooks and the widget #

  • API keys belong to the account holder, who is responsible for activity under them. Do not use the API to abuse the service, exceed your tier's rate limits, or resell carrier data (including DHL UTAPI data) where the carrier's terms prohibit it.
  • MCP server is public and read-only; it exposes detection, carrier lookup and routing, not private data. Rate limits apply per surface.
  • Sandbox returns deterministic synthetic fixtures (TJTEST-*) for testing; sandbox data is not real shipment data.
  • Webhooks: you are responsible for the endpoint you register and its security; verify our signature on each delivery.
  • Widget: the basic redirect widget routes visitors to TrackJet / official carrier surfaces; the advanced signed widget is a Pro/Business feature. You may not use the widget to mislead your customers about a shipment's status.

We do not guarantee uptime or availability except under a separate enterprise agreement.
